Is there a fall chill in the air for you as there is in my neck of the woods? Though I tend to gravitate to liking the warmer months, I have learned to appreciate the beauty of Fall.
I particularly love all of the colors; it is with these in mind that I decided upon my color scheme for this card that I shared on Instagram recently.
Blending work allows you to elevate a simple card without too much effort. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks here for the blended background in:
(from top to bottom)
- Chipped Sapphire
- Wilted Violet
- Picked Raspberry
- Carved Pumpkin
- Mustard Seed
- Mowed Lawn
I have a Color Combos board on Pinterest (https://pin.it/hnFtuP5) that I use sometimes for color inspiration. I used this photo to pick the my Distress Ink palette.

Color combos are a lifeline for me when I want to kickstart a new card idea. The card image and sentiments are from Concord and 9th's Season of Cheer stamp and die bundle in their September 2017 release. I chose to go with black ink and paper as they can handle all the color below and still showcase the image.
Let me know what you think!
