It’s been a horrendously busy year, but I keep hope alive that things will slow to a more reasonable pace and that I find more time to share on my blog.
For those of you who keep up with me on Instagram, these cards will look very familiar, but I also wanted to share them on the blog for my friends who do not “do Instagram”. I used stamps and tools from a variety of companies to make cards in a single color palette. Most are Valentines cards, but others can be used year-round.
Love this Valentine Koala from Neat and Tangled, he gave me the courage to try a little Copic coloring... I have a long way to go, but he’s so cute. The stencil is a stunner from Neat and Tangled and he is pledging his love in front of a quilted 3D background 💜 using a We Are Memory Keepers embossing folder.
For this card I again challenged myself to try things that I am not good at... watercolor. This card features a brush script sentiment from My Favorite Things and richly pigmented colors from Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors.
This is the card that I gave to my Valentine who brings a little sparkle ⭐️ 💎 🌟 to each of my days! Copic coloring of a gem image courtesy of Neat and Tangled which is set against an Distress Ink-blended background and embossed with my-all-time favorite We Are Memory Keepers 3D folder.
Are you feeling the love ❤️ 💕 💜 yet? This marbling background stamp from My Favorite Things does all the work for you! I finished it with a “Label Love” sentiment from Altenew and a bold, clear-embossed die-cut.
And with this card my limited palette Valentines spree is over. 😂 I used one of the many of watercolor backgrounds that I ruined early on to make the panel behind this Neat and Tangled maze diecut. I feel like the card needs an ink splatter but honestly I’m scared 😱.
Thanks for looking.
