Wait!! before we get started, we can't have a birthday without some cake! (Forgive me, the hamster is just too cute!!!)

CRAFTING MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER CARD - Layered Stenciling, Stamping and Die-cutting

Featuring:

  • Altenew An Artist's Collection Stamp Set

  • Altenew An Artist's Collection Stencil Set

  • Altenew An Artist's Collection Die Set

  • Altenew Terrazza Tile Stencil Set

  • Altenew Mini Blending Brushes

  • Altenew Detail Blending Brushes

  • Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Pads - Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle

If you follow my posts, you may know that I am not always excited about coloring with markers, so I love when stamp sets have matching stencils so that I can do some super easy coloring!

You will need the following inks to color the crafty supplies die-cut:

PREPARE THE DIE-CUTS

Stamp the bottom 2 images in Jet Black ink.

Ink the "jar" evenly in Fresh Lemon.

To add a little depth to the coloring of the jar, select the Mini Blending Brush and Honey Drizzle ink.

Ink the brush and blend a little of the darker yellow color on the right side of the jar.

Align the stencil to color the brush bristles. Select the detail blending brushes and Caramel Toffee and Paper Bag inks.

Ink the #10 brush in Caramel Toffee Ink and color the paintbrush bristles all over.

Ink the #5 brush in Paper Bag Ink and color the base area of the paintbrush bristles.

After cleaning*, ink the #5 brush in Limestone ink and color the metal part of the paintbrush that holds the bristles, ink again in Silver Stone ink and darken sections of this part of the brush..

Select the ____, Hydrangea, Aqualicious, Grass Fields and Fresh Lemon inks. Align the stencil over the handle of the brushes.

  • Color the handles using the selected inks, adding a second layer of the same color in sections to shade and darken parts of the handle.

  • Finish with re-aligning the stencil over the remaining brush and color with Fresh Lemon and Maple Yellow.

  • Color the last remaining brush bristles with Silver Stone and Dark Night.

When you are all done it should look a bit like this.

Die-cut and layer.

Stencil the Terrazzo Tile background layers in Limestone, Silver Stone and Industrial Diamond inks. Stamp the Sentiment in Jet Black.

Trim the Terrazzo background to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2". Adhere the diecuts. Apply foam tape to the back and adhere to an embossed 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.

Too cute!

Yes, for me Crafting makes most things better!

These are both great, but I am loving that colorful background on the second card. That paper pack looks wonderful. I really like acrylic pouring. Its fun but messy, so having a paper pad that mimics it is perfect.
