Honey Bee Stamps - BUNNY BASKET Card

Hello Lovelies! OKAY, I admit it, there have been a LOT of Bunnies on the Blog in the last week or so, but you have to forgive me, they are all so different, but ALL cute. Speaking of cute, I absolutely could not resist this Bunny Basket set from Honey Bee Stamps NEW Simply Spring release!

Somehow though, I was overthinking this one way too much, but after a few false starts, I leaned on a rainbow and some ink-blending to kick start this "Happy Easter" Card.

Here's a closer look at today's key supplies:

Today's GIF!

This is NOT exactly how we are going to make today's chocolate bunny!

HAPPY EASTER CARD - Ink-blending and Die-cutting

Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

COLOR PALETTE

CARD HIGHLIGHTS
  • Use the medium-sized brush to gently "dust" the perimeter of the Spring Vine Layering die-cut with the rainbow of Distress Ink colors

  • Adhere the inked die-cut to two more layers of the same shape to create a stacked base

  • Ink the bunny die-cut from the Bunny Basket set first with Tea Dye using the smallest brush and then add touches of Gathered Twig to darken in the areas shown. Ink the bow with Squeezed Lemonade, darkening in the center

  • Ink the entire basket in Lost Shadow with the smallest brush and then darken select selections with Pumice Stone. Snip the bow ends off of two more bows and then ink with a touch of Spun Sugar and Lovely Lilac

  • Using tweezers, ink two teeny pieces of cotton wool (I stripped down a cotton swab) by touching the cotton wool directly onto the ink-pads to stain it with a little color as shown

  • Create the sentiment from the Garden Bouquet set by stamping in Honey Bee Intense Black Ink and embossing with clear powder for a little dimension and shine. Die-cut with the matching outline die. Layout the die-cuts to get a sense of how they will be placed on the card and adhere with Bearly Craft Glue.

    • pop up the front of the basket from the base with foam dots and stuff the top with the stained cotton wool
