LIFE IS HARD CARD - Die-cutting, Stamping, Die-cutting and Paper-Piecing

Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Red pink and purple All the Joy Christmas card with birds and holly leaves

COLOR PALETTE

Today I used a Sarah Renae Clark's Color Cube card to inspire my color choices. As a hoarder of cardstock I was able to find coordinating shades from my stash.

CARD WALKTHROUGH

DIE-CUTTING & STAMPING

  1. Die-cut the Mini Fab Floral Plate Die out of your six selected  4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardstock colors and a piece of white cardstock.

  2. Remove all the petals from each piece and create little piles of the petals by color.

  3. Adhere the white Mini Fab Floral die-cut to a white card base.

  4. Stamp and die-cuts the sentiments in Charcoal and Watermelon Pawsitively Saturated Ink as shown.

  5. Die-cut a heart using the Nested Hearts die-set to use as a backdrop to the "Life is Hard" sentiment.

PAPER-PIECING

  1. Place little dots of craft glue in each petal "space for one flower

  2. Use the wax end of a Pic-up tool to select each petal and press into the open spaces on the die-cut as shown. Repeat until you have completed the row.

  3. Continue steps 4 and 5 until you complete adding petals to each space.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Adhere the sentiments with craft glue.

  2. Adhere the pink jewels.

I can't believe I did that, but it is a lot easier and faster than it looks, once you get done with creating the colored petals.

Yes, "Life is Hard" but that's what friends are for!

I love those sentiments! I have yet to do piecework like you did on this one. Seems like it could be relaxing. TFS!
