Tim Holtz Sizzix Christmas 2024 - Winter Wishes Snowman Christmas Card

Hello Lovelies! The more I see of the vault releases, the more they are some of my favorite and the Tim Holtz and Sizzix's Christmas 2024 Release! is no exception. I love that in just one affordable set, you get a curated set that offers so many options.

Today, I am focusing on the Winter Wishes set and assembling a Christmas Tree of snowmen with nothing but the merriest wishes for you! The card is relatively simple but you'll need a little time to color, cut and arrange all these fiddly bits!

Let's take a closer look at both of the sets needed for today's card. You can purchase them individually or get the whole bundle from Simon Says Stamp.

  2. Squeeze a pea-sized (I overdid it) amount of Distress Paint onto your craft mat.

  3. Spritz the paint with water if you have a thicker consistency like mine and mix with the Splatter Brush.

  4. Place the background inside of a Splat Box. Use the Splatter Brush to splatter the background with Paint until you achieve a "snowfall" effect.

SENTIMENT & SNOWFLAKE

  1. Die-cut "MERRY" out of the Silver Deco Sheet and white cardstock.

  2. Apply Craft Glue, layer and adhere to create more dimensional letters.

  3. Die-cut the snowflake out of Speckled Egg custom-colored cardstock and white cardstock.

  4. Apply Craft Glue, layer and adhere to create a more dimensional snowflake.

SNOWMAN

  1. Apply Distress Ink Pads directly to pieces of 110lb Neenah Solar cardstock to create all the colors needed for the snowmen. (showing a sample below)

  2. Set aside to dry.

SPARKLY TOP LAYER

  1. Mist 2 pieces of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Sparkle.

  2. Set aside to dry.

SNOWMAN BODY

  1. Die-cut white foam using the base snowman body layer.

  2. Die-cut the sparkly white cardstock using the top snowman body layer

  3. Use a black Sharpie to color a thick line as shown on the head and mid-section of the snowman.

  4. Apply adhesive to the foam and adher the sparkly layer.

SNOWMAN ACCESSORIES

  1. Die-cut the scarf, gloves, nose and arm pieces as shown below.

  1. Sort the accessory layers into groups. (showing red as an example).

  2. Apply craft glue and adhere the scarf and hat pieces.

  3. Adhere the scarf, hat and arms to the snowman body.

CARD ASSEMBLY

  1. Create a scored 5" x 7" Card Base.

  2. Arrange the snowmen and star on the card base until you are satisfied with the layout.

  3. Cover with Glad Press N Seal film and press down to adhere the film to the die-cuts.

  4. Flip the film over and appy craft glue to the back of the die-cuts, let sit for 30 seconds (if you are using Bearly).

  5. Adhere the blue snowy card front to the card base with craft glue.

  6. Lift the film with die-cuts attached, align to your preferred position over the card front and press to adhere.

  7. Adhere a large silver bauble to the center of the snowflake to finish the card.

That Distress Paint snow worked out pretty well I think!

Our little green snowman is working so hard to hold up his friends.

I hope he's not trying to steal that!

I can't help but smile and this and I hope it gives you a little Christmas cheer!

Last look!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope this was helpful. Leave me a comment with your thoughts please. It really does make my day and I am always happy to take any questions.

See you soon!
