Did you already catch the Tim Holtz's YouTube LIVE and see the full Stampers Anonymous release and all the makes? I am pretty sure I was drooling... LOL
I wanted to share with you the little details behind each card in case you want to give it a whirl. These cards are easy and showcase simple stamp-layering and stenciling to create eye-catching layouts.
We got 5 new stamp sets, 4 stencils and 4 inks this weekend and I am sure you will agree that they are smashing. I even found myself a new Bae, more on that later. LOL :-) For a limited time, Simon Says Stamp is offering a bundle (click here or image below) with all the goodies for a discounted price of $138.91!
These cards focus on 3 of the 5 new stamp sets from Tim and Stampers Anonymous, each has a different vibe but somehow through "Tim Magic" look really good when combined. I left the "plant/flower" sets for later, you guys know they are my safe space and jumped right into the "people/sentiment" sets for this trio of cards.

Meet Sebastian everyone (yes I have named the male face stamp from the Inquisitive Stamp Set). This striking image was the first thing that I wanted to ink up when I got my Makers package. The art work is phenomenal and I wanted him to stand out in black against a colorful background.
The inky background is made with Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink. I dabbed the pads onto my craft mat, spritzed with water using the Distress Sprayer and picked up the colors with my Distress White Heavystock, drying at intervals to "set" a layer before continuing to add color.
The Squeezed Lemonade from the pad was not pronounced enough so I got some more concentrated color from my Reinkers, mixed with a little water and picked that up on select spots with the Background. This is an imprecise technique, each time you do this it will be different and that is the beauty of it.
Though the background is great for my Sebastian, I wanted to echo the black that I was going to stamp that gorgeous face with and decided to create another layer using the Metropolis Layering Stencil.
I finished with a little heat embossing of the gears border (with Lucky Clover and then clear embossing powder) across the top (which I accidentally slanted :-)) and then stamping "Sebastian" and the sentiment in Black Soot Distress Archival Ink for a crisp image.
Layer and pop up with foam tape to finish!
Isn't he handsome?
HOW OLD? CARD - Multicolor Distress Oxides, Distress Grit Paste Stenciled Layer and Fussy Cut Focal Image
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Featuring:
Distress Oxide Pads - Spun Sugar, Chipped Sapphire, Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough, Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marigold and Rusty Hinge
Distress Oxide Spray - Tumbled Glass, Speckled Egg

The Inquistive Stamp Set gave me a focal point, background AND sentiment for this sassy card! It's amazing how Tim packs so much versatility into one set. I added a textured layer using the Dotted Lines Stencil, Grit Paste and some sprays.
I worked on the die-cut oval backdrop for my gent first as I needed it to dry before I sprayed it with Tumbled Glass and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Sprays.
Up next was the numbered background. I actually searched for color palettes on Insta, found a pic I liked and color-matched it using my Distress Ink Color swatches: Spun Sugar, Chipped Sapphire, Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough, Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marigold and Rusty Hinge.
When stamping I chose my Distress Oxides for slightly more muted, matte look. I used Chipped Sapphire again to create a contrasting layer for my main background.
After a stamping the focal point image in the same color and then fussy cutting it, I was ready to assemble the layers in full snark mode! LOL
FOCUS ON THE GOOD CARD - Overlapping Distress Oxide Stamping
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Featuring:
Distress Oxide Pads - Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw, Abandoned Coral and Hickory Smoke

This is the absolute simplest I've made in long time, but I love its sweet message and relatively (for me) muted palette. It's all about that awesome sentiment from the Bold Sayings Stamp Set.
The sentiment is such a statement piece and I paired it with the bulleye from the Inquisitve set to try to make a not-so-subtle link between the word focus and the target image... Get it? :-)
The Distress Oxide colors are Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw, Abandoned Coral and Hickory Smoke.
I mounted this panel on a Simon Fog Grey card base with foam tape and added a few Idea-ology stars to finish my little wonder and I was all set.
Have fun with your stamps, try not to overthink things and go make something
